Welcome to the MACR Sharks

The MACR Sharks are a year round YMCA and USA Swimming Competitive Swim Team that offers a safe and supportive envirornment with high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to national competitor. Swimming with the Sharks allows athletes to experience the benefit of teamwork and competition in both USA and YMCA Swim Meets held throughout the year.

As a member, your athlete has access to all YMCA programs and facilities here in Cedar Rapids and across the country. Through careful planning and appropriate levels of competition the MACR Sharks strive to instill a life-long love of the sport of swimming, maintaining swimmers' interest and future desire to swim at the high school and college level.

The Mission of the MACR Sharks is to provide members an opportunity to realize their potential both in and out of the pool, while displaying the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
